MASDAR SOLAR
Our story follows Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision, the rise of new Giga cities along the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia, and global challenges faced by the natural world, before taking us to present-day Masdar Solar, the state-of-the-art PV Solar Panels Factory.
The Story behind Us
In line with Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision to build a competitive renewable energy sector, such as localizing a significant portion of the renewable energy value chain inside Saudi economy, including R&D and manufacturing, and gradually liberalizing the energy market, Masdar Solar has been emerged as a global project for manufacturing PV Solar Panels with a total capacity of 1200 MW.
The sun is a precondition for all life on earth and offers free and clean energy in abundance. Solar energy is being received without any costs and our mission in Masdar Solar is the transformation phase to electricity which is completely eco- and climate neutral.
Masdar Solar is built in a very strategic location in Tabuk region in the northwest coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where Saudi Arabia's main giga projects are coming together and rolled out as part of Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision.
Out of our beliefs in following the technology wherever it goes to offer maximum value and best quality to our customers, our technological partners is one of the pioneers in this PV industry worldwide; Mondragon Assembly of Spain in alliance with Meyer Burger Technology AG of Switzerland as per Preferred Partnership Agreement (PPA) concluded between them to collaborate on module equipment development and outsource the manufacture of Meyer Burger's SWCT equipment. Mondragon Assembly is more than a technological partner, that's extended its full technical and technological support to Masdar Solar throughout the project from conceptual design, design & engineering, to the provision of full automatic production lines on turnkey basis, full knowhow transfer, training, till post-project operation & maintenance (O&M) and R&D.
We strongly believe that Masdar Solar will be a part of the ambitious plan to encourage technology transfer in the renewable energy industries and the localization of significant parts of the renewable energy value chain in Saudi Arabia to align with goals of Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision and Saudi Arabia's landmark pledge aiming to achieve net zero emissions by 2060 announced by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Head of the Higher Committee for the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) on October 23, 2021..
With this project, Masdar Solar expects to become one of the most important manufacturers in the MENA region. To achieve this, Masdar Solar will cover both local and global markets from here in Tabuk.
